I've heard you have to suffer either a physical or emotional, something tremendous, kind of sorrow or loss in order to make great art. That usually the tortured souls are the ones who go on to make masterpieces.

This is going to be a long, hard year, a lonely one at that. You won't see much activity from me on here, but you may see a lot more art, and hopefully art of better quality.

This is a new era for me. A new age in my artistic interests and of my life. I thank those who haven't left me even though I'm not a good person, and I hope you continue to stay, because those who have abandoned me will mean nothing anymore but an influence to my art.

Thank you.

Now before a I get a shitstorm, let me explain; I'm talking about the fucking vegans who say they hope people who eat meat will die a slow and painful death, who post up fake as shit stories with pictures taken out of context, with a URL of "Go Vegan or Fuck You" and say "I hope you die choking on bacon" and other bullshit like that.

How retarded are these type of people? I understand some people don't want to eat meat because of slaughter houses or because they simply don't like the taste of meat. That's all fine and dandy, just know you're not saving any animal lives no matter how brilliant and enlightened and superior to meat eaters you think you are.

Millions of animals are still killed and trapped every year, not to mention all the intense pollution from pesticides, to protect crops, and all the land that forests were destroyed for in order to create all these farms and stuff. Just because you don't see the death firsthand doesn't mean it doesn't happen and I guess that's what makes you sleep at night, you self-entitled idiots. Just because people eat meat, like humans are supposed to, doesn't make them evil-doers who hate animals and nature and want the entire human race to become fucking carnivores, and it doesn't mean they support cruelty or mass slaughter. Get your fucking facts straight before you rant about this slew of bullshit.

This isn't aimed for all vegans or vegetarians, I'm good with people choosing that. Just don't shove this "you support animal cruelty" and "I hope you die from eating meat" retarded as fuck mentality like a goddamn religion down everyone's throats because you're too stupid and blind to realize your diet is killing just as many animals, more wild animals in fact, than eating domestic meat.

To the people who think this way, thank you and go fuck yourself.

:iconsonic-shadowstorm: tagged me, so I'm just going to answer her questions (don't like the others or feel like doing them).

1) Coke, or Pepsi?
Cola

2) What pets do you own? If none, what kind would you like to have?
I own five dogs, four cats, and around twenty goldfish now (they all live in a pond outside). My newest addition is the kitten Apollo, my little brother. :)

3) What is your favourite song, who is it sung by, and what genre is it under?
It's kind of impossible to pick one favorite song, given all my different kinds of moods...so I guess I'll go with the one that makes me happiest, Shut Up and Smile by Bowling for Soup.

5) Did you notice that I skipped four? (No lying.)
No because I wasn't looking at the numbers. ^^;

6) Which is your preferred gaming platform? (PlayStation, Xbox, Wii, Gamecube, PC, the various handhelds, etc.)
Wii I guess, I don't have anything newer than that.

7) Do you have a lucky number?
17 or 9.

8) Empty your mind completely and let yourself space out for a bit, then focus quickly on something random. What is the first word that came to mind?
My Jaret.

9) What is the quote that you feel describes you, or that you remember the most?
"No matter how far I've travelled, I still can't escape from this place." As far as most personally endearing to me.

10) Is the metaphorical glass half-empty, or half-full?
Half-empty. I don't find it a very negative view despite what people say. After all, who only fills a glass halfway with something...

But I'm going to talk about it anyway.

To those who have seen both FMA and FMAB (or the movie, Conqueror of Shamballa). I hear a lot of complaints about the ending of FMA, and if you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about. I'm not going to lie, it was disappointing because Edward and Alphonse didn't end up being together like they should have. HOWEVER, that didn't end up being the actual ending to it because the movie was the ending of it all. Ed and Al finally got to be together forever at the end :) Which I loved and wouldn't prefer the Fullmetal Alchemist series to end any other way. However there are a bunch of kids who whined and bawled because Ed didn't end up with Winry, and this pisses me off.

The entire purpose of FMA is the brotherhood between Edward and Alphonse, and how that relationship is the most important one to them, and the fact they're drifters who are always on the move strengthens this because they aren't the "settling down" type to me. The whole point is the importance of each other, not some fake Hollywood ending like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was.
There are a lot of things about Brotherhood I liked better than the first series, just like there were things about FMA I liked better than Brotherhood. Overall I think I liked Brotherhood's entire plot and character development more (aside from the first thirteen or so episodes which were terrible, distastefully goofy recaps of the first thirteen from FMA), but I was very unhappy with the ending. Not the fact Alphonse came back as he did; I was very happy with that, it was extremely touching and very dynamic. But I feel the series ended with Ed marrying Winry and Al (for some fucking reason unknown to me) marrying May that annoying little Xing girl only because of the need to make the shallow teenage fans of FMAB happy with a sloppily put together romance.

In FMA and most or half of FMAB, Ed and Winry were just friends, she was his mechanic, and that was the end to it. Why the need to make them romantic? They had little in common, she was settled down and he was built for adventure, they never talked about anything personal because Ed didn't like that and Winry never took the time to try and get into his mind. (I mean really, Hughes knew Ed better than she did) There was absolutely no grounds for them having a relationship other than the oh-so-important fact Edward is a boy and Winry is a girl who happen to be around each other, so they felt obligated to force them together. It was completely unrealistic. I mean, what was wrong with them being friends? Why does every boy x girl friendship HAVE to be romantic? Even in FMAB when they were clearly more interested than in the original series, I thought it was a lot more natural for Ed and Al to be protective friends of her. It worked a lot better.

And I won't even talk about Alphonse marrying May. That shit is a whole 'nother fucking ballpark you don't wanna get into.

Anyway my general complaint is the complete immaturity of all the whiners who say, "Oh boo hoo FMA had such a horrible ending I liked Brotherhood better because it made us happy and not sad." Okay, just because an ending was "sad" it made it automatically horrible? I thought the movie was exactly what FMA needed, to refocus on their brotherhood; it isn't about getting girls and having babies like every other Hollywood ending ever. It was supposed to be a unique ending that meant more than just boy-likes-girl-even-though-he-has-no-previous-interest-in-her. It was a lot more touching and thought out than "Oh well it's the end let's slap all the characters into last minute marriages to be on the safe side." I don't care what anyone says about the movie, I think they did a hell of a job that deserved more love than it got. Just because you're a sad and single teenager doesn't mean you need to bitch and moan because the male protagonist didn't end up hooking up with the only other female his age in the entire series just because.

Basically, FMA + Conqueror of Shamballa seemed like for more mature viewers than Brotherhood was, in the end. I don't know if the creators were really so shallow themselves to actually think Ed and Winry worked, or were just forced to because everyone bitched out the ending to the first one, but they should have taken the better quality, less mediocre path.
